| Soo today's the day the twins would have been born. But, they were born last Thursday, and good thing too, cause I wouldn't want to relive the whole hospital scene. Mom and babies came home Monday afternoon, and everyone is doing ok...
Except Leslie sometimes falls asleep when I'm talking to her... but she wakes up a few minutes later ready to carry on our convo...
Christopher doesn't know what to think. Yesterday morning he wanted to bring Jessica and Daniel with him to daycare and today when I picked him up, he said matter-of-fact: NO BABIES. Sorry, dude, there are babies now!

| Please welcome Daniel Philip Grimes and Jessica Amelia Grimes!!!
 Daniel is 4 lbs 8 oz and 18 1/4 in. Jessica is 6 lbs 11 oz and 19 1/2 in. | | |
| Yesterday I went to Target and bought an exercise ball. I'm so sitting on it right now. I'm not too convinced of the benefits of using it as a chair yet, but we'll see. Christopher loves it; its 2/3 his size. Last night he would kick it away and then when it came rolling back at him he would run away yelling "I'm scared, I'm scared!" He loves it though. At bedtime last night he tried to put it in his toy corner, and when he got up this morning he was asking for it...
In other news, I get to be at the hospital when the babies arrive!! Whether or not I'm actually going to be in the OR, that's another story. Maybe if they call me her doula...

| Soo Leslie was at the hospital again last night for contractions... another false alarm. But two good things came out of yesterday's visit. 1) She was home in time to have some of my apple/pear pie I made yesterday. Which was delicioso, to say the least.
2) We have a delivery date scheduled!!! September 19th.
Of course, that means I have to reschedule my orthodontic appointment, but I'm pretty sure they can fit me in on the following Monday. Because man, I have been waiting all this time, I don't want to just skip out the day before these babies get here.
Although, there is always the chance that they will come earlier...

| I just got back from the South Plainfield Labor Day parade. Two hours long.. on the upside, we got to park in the senior center which is right off of the parade route, so that was cool. A little spunky old lady wanted to know what we were doing parking there until she saw Leslie and her belly. John is doing the Labor Day fireworks later tonight, and he roped off a spot for us.. with stakes and orange tape. We are sooo in the VIP section.
Want to know what freaks me out? When this old guy in a parade points to you and says to their buddy, "see that redhead?" and then to me "I'll be your grampa, come here.." HELP! He was a veteran, so I just smiled and waved. Can you really do anything else? Just smile and wave.
